Bright and Airy Shaker Kitchen and Utility with Sage Green Island

The Brief

Helen & Simon were planning a new kitchen as part of a downstairs rear extension to their period property. They wanted the kitchen to include lots of storage and have a timeless feel in a traditional shaker style including creams and sage greens and include seating which offer a view of their gorgeous garden. They asked for seating on the island for their family of 4 so they can eat breakfast together and sit and read the paper on a Sunday morning. They also wanted to have accents of antique brass to offer a warm texture for the  accessories and lighting.

The Design

Our design focussed on soft neutral tones for the main cabinetry and paint colours and we chose carefully with the client to find the perfect sage green colour for their island. The stylish antique brass pendant lights offer a focal point above the island and the light worktops make the space feel clean and crisp. We chose an antique brass Quooker boiling water tap to complement the pendants above the island and antique bronze cup and knob handles.

“We visited the showroom following a recommendation from a friend who worked with Alex on their kitchen project last year and was very impressed with him. As soon as we began to discuss our project we could already tell that Alex was very professional and we immediately liked him. The showroom has beautiful kitchens and there are so many bespoke options that were not available with other showrooms we visited. Alex carefully guided us through the process to make sure every detail was covered. Our finished kitchen exceeds all our expectations and we would have no hesitation in recommending this company.”
