He has a very casual approach to discussions with clients with the intent of making the whole process as informal, personal and enjoyable as possible. Alex is extremely knowledgeable in both product as well as all areas of installation which has led to many professionals in the kitchen sector calling on him over the years for help and advice.

Carol Akehurst

Operations Manager

Carol has worked in operations management for the past fifteen years and enjoys the challenge of hectic schedule. Organised and focused, she is an important part of both the kitchen and bathroom business. Carol manages all aspects of administration within the business, with an efficient and methodical approach. She ensures our after sales service, logistics and deliveries run as seamlessly as possible. We consider Carol to be the daredevil of the company! If she isn’t bungee jumping in Australia she is riding her motorbike across country. She is also a big fan of motorsport and a keen car enthusiast.

Dave Button

Warehouse Manager

Dave is the company’s delivery driver and warehouse manager. He takes great care and attention when dealing with our customer’s orders and is a valued member of the team. He has worked for the company for many years, overseeing product quality control and ensuring that items are delivered to site on time. Always with a smile on his face, Dave also helps us with the day-to-day maintenance of the kitchen and bathroom showrooms with his useful handyman skills.

Dave enjoys cooking, all sports including cycling, football and tennis, and a good beer.

Chris Burton

Warehouse Manager

Chris has held a passion for kitchen & bathroom design and interiors for over ten years and is a self-proclaimed perfectionist. His successful kitchen and bathroom business is driven on a philosophy that design should be more than just choosing from a standard set of products, often sold due to margins or familiarity. It should be a design led experience with consideration towards all aspects of the interior. Chris is a keen motorcycle enthusiast and loves doing trackdays in the UK and Europe with friends.

  We decided to get our kitchen refit done by TBKC as their sister company TBBC upgraded our bathrooms so well. It was a major piece of work with wall removal, new electrics & plumbing etc. Alex did an amazing job of working with us to define exactly what we were looking for, and tailored the result to our needs, aspirations and budget. The fitters arranged by TBKC were highly skilled perfectionists with years of experience, and we felt we were in safe hands throughout the process. The result is simply stunning - better than we hoped it would be. We just cooked our first full meal in our "for life" kitchen, and couldn't be happier with it. Everything just flows and works in the room, which is fast becoming the heart of our home.   This is the place in Brighton and Hove to go to have your bespoke dream kitchen or bathroom designed. The BKC pride themselves on attention to detail when it comes to design, and will factor in the most minute and nuanced details, that you may otherwise overlook, to make the space practical and aesthetically pleasing. Ergonomics is also a key.
This was our second time using BKC, following the design and installation of two bathrooms a few years ago.
What we like about BKC is that their designs produce a wow factor, are trendy, yet timeless. The materials and products used are bespoke and of superior quality, while also nationally sourced. We had our kitchen designed by Alex, who listened to our every whim and at the same time suggested different ideas, which we may not have considered ourselves. Chris, the managing director, was super helpful with choosing the tiles -
we went for porcelain, mini metro dark green.
We are now looking forward to the kitchen being finally finished, just in time for Christmas. Pics to follow.

  We have been very pleased with the service provided by Alex and Mark, the installer/builder. Having a new kitchen can be a painful experience but this was seamless and hassle free.   Chris, Darren and TBKC team did a fabulous job with the design and fitting of our bespoke Shaker in-frame kitchen. It was not a straightforward job at all due to some architectural quirks of the house and some non-standard requests on my part. They were patient, communicative, helpful, and they had my back every step of the way. The kitchen was installed as part of a whole-house renovation where the TBKC team had to work under non-ideal circumstances (I chose the wrong building contractors, unfortunately) and they were extremely flexible during a busy time to deliver as promised. TBKC is composed of real artisans who take pride in their work so I'm not surprised that the final result is breathtaking, functional and the high quality I expected for the price point. I absolutely recommend this company and will be using them again for other cabinetry needs.

  We started planning our kitchen in 2020 with the help of the lovely team at TBKC in Hickstead. Taking our own ideas, colours and vision they transformed the space resulting in the most beautiful, handmade bespoke kitchen. Every detail was thoroughly thought through from our integrated fridge freezer and white goods to taps, door handles, a pantry cupboard and little added extras like lights in the cookery book shelves. We absolutely love the final outcome - every visitor is in awe -  and would highly recommend Chris, Louis and the team. If you’re looking for your dream kitchen this is the place to go. Professional, reliable and couldn’t do more for you. Each step of the way they’ve been great. Thank you to TBKC for our amazing kitchen.

  After downsizing and leaving our lovely kitchen behind we needed an extension to the new one . Visiting Chris with just a building plan not yet approved by the council. A little bit taken aback he started planning what is now a beautiful new kitchen designed around the new Aga, having had one for about 25 years neither of us could cope with the high tech hob and ovens we had inherited. When he and Louis first visited before we had started the extension nothing phased them , designed and ordered before it was even started with Louis visiting often to see the progress. At last with the building finished Aga installed , Brian arrived to fit the Kitchen he was amazing. Any queries we had were soon sorted. Abby and I are really pleased with our new kitchen and thank all the team for their patience with all the hold ups with the building, materials being difficult to get sometimes.
We would thoroughly recommend the Brighton kitchen company.

Contact us to discuss your project and one of our expert designers will contact you to have an initial conversation regarding your project and answer any questions you may have.
We then book a showroom design appointment where we can show you round our shaker and contemporary kitchens.
We can also arrange to visit your home and undertake a technical survey and take detailed measurements.
We discuss whether you have your own builder for the building works or whether you would like us to arrange the building works. We can regularly arrange plumbing, plastering, electrical works, flooring and decorating as part of the kitchen project.

Listen…….

We welcome you to our showroom and walk you round our gorgeous displays talking through the features and benefits of the options available.
We listen to your initial ideas and vision for the overall design ethos for your new kitchen.
We ask lots of questions and ensure we take a detailed design brief considering all elements of the design including colour schemes, flooring, worktops, appliances, storage and many other important details.
We discuss information regarding budget & timescales for your project.
We book your design presentation appointment and you can then relax and look forward to seeing your new kitchen design.

Get Excited….

You arrive at the showroom where your design has prepared an exciting design and presents this on a large TV screen.
We will talk you through the design and discuss the overall layout, colour scheme & design details including swatches and samples.
We will take comprehensive notes regarding any adjustments you would like to make to any of the design elements.
We present the initial costings to give you an idea of overall costs for your kitchen project.
We will book another design presentation date in a few days time.

Develop…..

We further develop the design concept for your kitchen space including amendments which were discussed.
We present the revised design.
We present the updated costings for your design for discussion.
We discuss timescales, lead times for products and how this will work with your project schedule.
We agree all elements including payment schedule for your new kitchen.

Deliver………

Once it is possible to do so, we’ll arrange a pre-installation site visit to check all technical details.
We prepare full technical drawings including plan and elevations with M&E notes for your builder if it is part of a larger project.
Your designer liaises with you and your builder to ensure every detail has been checked.
We deliver your kitchen furniture & appliances.
Your specialist TBKC kitchen fitter begins work on installing your new kitchen furniture. (5 Days)
Your worktops are templated by our local trusted worktop supplier.
5-8 days later your worktops are installed.
