Showroom Manager

Alex is extremely proud to head up our Kitchens. He comes very much from a technical background and will not leave a detail unturned. He has a very casual approach to discussions with clients with the intent of making the whole process as informal, personal and enjoyable as possible. Alex is extremely knowledgeable in both product as well as all areas of installation which has led to many professionals in the kitchen sector calling on him over the years for help and advice.

Carol Akehurst

Operations Manager

Carol has worked in operations management for the past fifteen years and enjoys the challenge of hectic schedule. Organised and focused, she is an important part of both the kitchen and bathroom business. Carol manages all aspects of administration within the business, with an efficient and methodical approach. She ensures our after sales service, logistics and deliveries run as seamlessly as possible. We consider Carol to be the daredevil of the company! If she isn’t bungee jumping in Australia she is riding her motorbike across country. She is also a big fan of motorsport and a keen car enthusiast.

Dave Button

Warehouse Manager

Dave is the company’s delivery driver and warehouse manager. He takes great care and attention when dealing with our customer’s orders and is a valued member of the team. He has worked for the company for many years, overseeing product quality control and ensuring that items are delivered to site on time. Always with a smile on his face, Dave also helps us with the day-to-day maintenance of the kitchen and bathroom showrooms with his useful handyman skills.

Dave enjoys cooking, all sports including cycling, football and tennis, and a good beer.

Chris Burton

Warehouse Manager

Chris has held a passion for kitchen & bathroom design and interiors for over ten years and is a self-proclaimed perfectionist. His successful kitchen and bathroom business is driven on a philosophy that design should be more than just choosing from a standard set of products, often sold due to margins or familiarity. It should be a design led experience with consideration towards all aspects of the interior. Chris is a keen motorcycle enthusiast and loves doing trackdays in the UK and Europe with friends.

  We contacted The Brighton Kitchen Company to help us with a large renovation project including a kitchen, utility room and bar area in a new extension at our home. We met Alex and immediately got on well and he listened and really took the time to understand what we were trying to achieve. He then put an amazing design together for our kitchen full of ideas which we hadn’t thought of that really made a difference. The quality of the finished kitchen is excellent and we are looking forward to entertaining our guests and using the new bar area.   After visiting lots of showrooms, we visited The Brighton Kitchen Company as we were impressed with the projects on their website. Alex stood out for us as very professional and knowledgeable and we were impressed with the level of detail which he went into for our kitchen design and he was very patient to ensure everything was right.   We decided to get our kitchen refit done by TBKC as their sister company TBBC upgraded our bathrooms so well. It was a major piece of work with wall removal, new electrics & plumbing etc. Alex did an amazing job of working with us to define exactly what we were looking for, and tailored the result to our needs, aspirations and budget. The fitters arranged by TBKC were highly skilled perfectionists with years of experience, and we felt we were in safe hands throughout the process. The result is simply stunning - better than we hoped it would be. We just cooked our first full meal in our "for life" kitchen, and couldn't be happier with it. Everything just flows and works in the room, which is fast becoming the heart of our home. I would gladly recommend TBKC to anyone looking for a well designed, well built, stylish kitchen upgrade.

  This is the place in Brighton and Hove to go to have your bespoke dream kitchen or bathroom designed. The BKC pride themselves on attention to detail when it comes to design, and will factor in the most minute and nuanced details, that you may otherwise overlook, to make the space practical and aesthetically pleasing. Ergonomics is also a key.
This was our second time using BKC, following the design and installation of two bathrooms a few years ago.
What we like about BKC is that their designs produce a wow factor, are trendy, yet timeless. The materials and products used are bespoke and of superior quality, while also nationally sourced. We had our kitchen designed by Alex, who listened to our every whim and at the same time suggested different ideas, which we may not have considered ourselves. Chris, the managing director, was super helpful with choosing the tiles -
we went for porcelain, mini metro dark green.
We are now looking forward to the kitchen being finally finished, just in time for Christmas. Pics to follow.
