Kitchen Design Process

Planning a new kitchen can be an exciting yet daunting process. Finding the right kitchen designer is key to creating your dream space. We would love to welcome you to our showroom in Sussex to discuss our comprehensive kitchen interior design service  which aims to make the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

From the initial consultation and planning to conceptualisation and installation, we manage your project from beginning to end, prioritising quality and expertise. See our full step-by-step kitchen design process below to learn more about how we can help you to create a personalised and luxurious kitchen space.

Hello……

  • Contact us to discuss your project and one of our expert designers will contact you to have an initial conversation regarding your project and answer any questions you may have.
  • We then book a showroom design appointment where we can show you round our shaker and contemporary kitchens.
  • We can also arrange to visit your home and undertake a technical survey and take detailed measurements.
  • We discuss whether you have your own builder for the building works or whether you would like us to arrange the building works. We can regularly arrange plumbing, plastering, electrical works, flooring and decorating as part of the kitchen project.

Listen…….

  • We welcome you to our showroom and walk you round our gorgeous displays talking through the features and benefits of the options available.
  • We listen to your initial ideas and vision for the overall design ethos for your new kitchen.
  • We ask lots of questions and ensure we take a detailed design brief considering all elements of the design including colour schemes, flooring, worktops, appliances, storage and many other important details.
  • We discuss information regarding budget & timescales for your project.
  • We book your design presentation appointment and you can then relax and look forward to seeing your new kitchen design.

Get Excited….

  • You arrive at the showroom where your design has prepared an exciting design and presents this on a large TV screen.
  • We will talk you through the design and discuss the overall layout, colour scheme & design details including swatches and samples.
  • We will take comprehensive notes regarding any adjustments you would like to make to any of the design elements.
  • We present the initial costings to give you an idea of overall costs for your kitchen project.
  • We will book another design presentation date in a few days time.

Develop…..

  • We further develop the design concept for your kitchen space including amendments which were discussed.
  • We present the revised design.
  • We present the updated costings for your design for discussion.
  • We discuss timescales, lead times for products and how this will work with your project schedule.
  • We agree all elements including payment schedule for your new kitchen.

Deliver………

  • Once it is possible to do so, we’ll arrange a pre-installation site visit to check all technical details.
  • We prepare full technical drawings including plan and elevations with M&E notes for your builder if it is part of a larger project.
  • Your designer liaises with you and your builder to ensure every detail has been checked.
  • We deliver your kitchen furniture & appliances.
  • Your specialist TBKC kitchen fitter begins work on installing your new kitchen furniture. (5 Days)
  • Your worktops are templated by our local trusted worktop supplier.
  • 5-8 days later your worktops are installed.
  • Your builder then connects appliances, lighting and plumbing.
  • You smile and enjoy your beautiful new kitchen!
